celebration are time of fun and happiness. We celebrate special days, such as birthday, weddings and festivals,with our family, friends and neighbours.

BIRTHDAY

a birthday is the day on which we were born.we celebrate our birthday by cutting cake and eating good healthy food.our family and friends wish us.

WEDDING

a wedding is one of the special days too. we celebrate by singing,dancing at a wedding.we also meet our friends and relatives.

FESTIVALS

we also celebrate festivals with our friends and family..

DIWALI

this is sam's family.they are celebrating the festival  of diwali.diwali is also called "festival of lights".sam's family wear new clothes on diwali.his parents decorate the house with lights,lamps and dIyas.sam and his sister Roma make colourful rangolis in the evening Sam and his family visit their friends,relatives and neighbours.they exchange gifts and sweets and wish each other.

EID

SHOAIB family celebrates eid.on this day,shoaib and his family wear new clothes and go to the mosque to offer prayers.shoaib's mother prepares special food and sweets like sewaiyan.sam's family also join shoaib's family in the celebration and wish them "eid Mubarak".

CHRISTMAS

rima's family celebrates Christmas.we celebrate Christmas on 25th December every year.it is the birthday of Jesus Christ.rima's father puts up a big Christmas tree in their house.rima and his brother help him to decorate the tree.her mother bakes a delicious cake for everyone.they go to the church to pray.they invite relatives and neighbours to wish each other "merry Christmas".

GURPURAB

Mika's family celebrates gurpurab.it is the birthday of guru Nanak.on this day,people go to the gurdwars to pray.a spacial meal called langar is cooked and served to everyone in the gurdwars.they will served langar to the other too.

HOLI

 

 Holi is the festival of colour. In holi people play with coloured powder and water.

WE SHOULD REMEMBER SOME SPACIAL DAYS 

we celebrate independence day on 15 August every year. our country became free on this day.

 

we celebrate republic day on 26 January every year.on this day, there is a huge parade in New Delhi.

 

we Celebrate Gandhi Jayanti on 2 October every year. it is the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi.

we celebrate teacher's day and children in school.
